Kikoy washing instructions
Kikoys are 100% cotton and can be washed and worn for
many years, the cotton is robust and only gets softer
as you wash it.
The dyes that we use are colourfast although it is advisable to
wash your Kikoy separately for the first wash, there may be a dye ‘bleed’,
this should not affect any other clothes but do take the precaution!
Do not use hot temperatures, particularly in the first few washes
as this may cause the Kikoy to shrink a little. All our Kikoy clothing
has been pre-shrunk.
As Kikoys are made from the finest pure cotton hot temperatures
will have an adverse affect, as will chemicals. Do not use strong
detergents or bleaching agents. Kikoys and Kikoy clothing are best
ironed a little damp with a steam iron.
